We deeply regret to announce that Pastor Cherise, our children and family ministries pastor since 2007, has been called to be the senior pastor at Long Beach Adventist Church, starting September 6. Her last Sabbath with us here will be August 23. We wish the Gardner family God’s richest blessings in the new calling.

Our deep condolences to Paula Weisbard on the sudden passing of her husband Phil on July 13. His memorial service was held in Burbank on July 15. Paula is now a resident at the Burbank Healthcare Facility, Room 131C, 1041 South Main Street, Burbank, 818-843-2330.

Please keep Jesse Martin’s sister in your thoughts and prayers after her recent diagnosis of advanced cancer.

City Church and Vallejo Drive Youth will come together July 26 for youth church on the Vallejo Drive Church campus. Breakfast will be at 9:30 a.m., followed by an engaging discussion, powerful worship at 10:45, and lots of opportunities to connect and build friendships. Please plan to attend, and feel free to invite friends.

Stuart TynerL. A. Adventist Forum will meet Sabbath, July 26, at 3:00 p.m., chapel. Speaker is Pastor Stuart Tyner, Pastor of Nurture and Spirituality at the La Sierra University Church, and author of The Colors of Grace in our Homes, Chosen by Grace, The Meanest Man in the Army and Other Stories of Grace, and Searching for the God of Grace, our current study book for the Grace Center weekly study as well as City Church’s online blog. His forum topic, “Framing Grace: The Art of Biblical Spirituality.” All are welcome.

Since we launched rebroadcasts of our worship service for a global audience in February, we have received over 6,300 viewings or loads from 70 countries around the globe (from “A”ustralia to “Z”imbabwe)! Lit Knitters Community Service. Your contributions to assist low-income Glendale Unified School is once again requested for this fall school year which begins mid August. Last year 25 children received brand new backpacks filled with school supplies. When giving, please remember this worthy project and mark “School Supplies.”
