If you enjoy reading, knitting, or helping our local community, then join Lit Knitters! This group discusses books and does community projects, too. Bring your knitting and a snack to share and get ready for some fun! The group meets monthly on the first Sunday of the month at 2:00 p.m. in the youth room, unless otherwise announced. Join the Facebook group to be notified of specific events.
Prayers and Squares Quilting Ministry
Get involved with a group that brings together the power of prayer with the tender, loving care of quilt-making. Each Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., this group comes together to pray for the people on the church prayer list and to make prayer quilts that are delivered to the people they’re praying for. You don’t have to be an expert quilter or pray-er to participate! Contact Evie Salzman, coordinator, at 213-369-6898 or firstname.lastname@example.org
On the third Saturday evening of the month, families gather around a campfire in our church courtyard to connect, sing songs, roast marshmallows, and make s’mores. You’re invited to bring a snack or drink to share.
On the fourth Saturday of each month, bring a favorite salad, entree, or dessert to contribute to a delicious feast! Potluck is a great time to meet new people, connect with old friends, and celebrate the joy of church community. It’s also a great way to do ministry! We’re always looking for more kitchen prep assistants and people to set up and take down the tables and chairs.
